Our History
Next Level Generation was founded in Parramatta the early 2000s. Originally a performing arts company our founder and director, Dr Robyn Kassas, was inspired to create a place for young people to get off the streets and express their creativity. Under the Dr Robyn’s direction, along with Artistic Director and Principle Performer Dr. Nathan Kassas, NLG Performing Arts flourished and grew into a trusted name both in the community and in the professional performing arts world. NLG Performing Arts provided free tuition to all students, aligning with Dr Robyn’s vision to give the community a hand up rather than a hand out.
NLG was sought after for the Sydney Royal Easter Show, public school arts programs, private functions and national and international festivals. They also worked extensively with underprivileged communities and people with disabilities, bringing joy and hope into the lives of many.
Across more than a decade, NLG Performing Arts hosted hundreds of workshops around Sydney and overseas including Kenya and Malaysia. Thousands of young people received expert foundational training in dance, drama and singing and some alumni have gone on to become professional artists.
NLG’s legacy is that it helped raised a generation of strong, independent men and women who understand the importance of commitment, teamwork, diligence and service to others—values they still carry with them today as adults, parents, professionals.
Today, NLG has transformed into a roving multi-sport clinic program. Our coaches focus on building confidence, strength and fitness in a fun and safe environment. We give kids access to group coaching in a variety of disciplines, and, as always, every clinic is free to the community to ensure the children who cannot afford to join a sports club or who need to improve their skills are given a hand up.
Have fun, make friends and gain confidence with NLG Sport! We are still encouraging youth, bringing change and sparking hope!
