 Director Robyn Kassas said that she is overwhelmed by all the children, their dire needs and their absolute thankfulness and grateful spirits in the midst of tremendous needs and hardship. As she spoke, we could hear children singing in the background.

 This remarkable story came through as the team was in the jungle at Chesongoch Primary School, North Rift Valley, Kenya,  north of the Equator

 Robyn had previously mentioned the difficult road and terrain which caused them problems reaching their destination including vehicles becoming bogged and wheels spinning in deep holes. She then spoke about a situation where a vehicle was bogged. In the vehicle was a woman in labor with twins. She was attempting to reach the baby clinic. The woman has just given birth to one child on the way and was in the process of delivering the other child. Because the vehicle was unable to be freed she left the vehicle (with one child) and then walked 5 kilometres with the second child still within her womb, to the clinic.  This is typical of the situations these people face and the tremendous needs they have.

 Then Robyn told us about the group of children we hear singing in the background. The children are singing ‘we are happy to be with you’. They are just so happy the team is there with them.

 The children  have been praying for electricity to run a school and medical facility. Robyn has been told $2,000 Australian dollars is needed to enable electricity to be supplied  to the area. Robyn is extremely keen to help this school and asked that NLG students and families would consider donating to this cause.
